Wildlife Card Game Rules

These are suggestions; feel free to make up your own rules if agreed upon by all players.

Basic: Eat or Be Eaten 3 - 6 yrs. 2 players or teams


1. Both players shuffle a deck of Wildlife cards or split a deck.
2. Both players flip the top card face up from their Wildlife pile.
3. Compare both ATTACK numbers on the Wildlife cards.
4. Winner of battle: The card with the higher attack wins.
5. The card that wins goes to the bottom of the winning player’s pile.
6. The defeated card is placed into that player’s Hibernation Pile (discard pile).
7. Tie: Each player places 3 cards face down & flip the 4th card face up to compare attack to attack, then follow #5 & #6.
8. Winner of game: The player who sends all of the opponent’s Wildlife cards to Hibernation!

Advanced: Eat or Be Eaten 6 yrs. and up 2 players or teams


Set up:

1. Shuffle and deal the Wildlife deck.
2. Each player creates a separate pile of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (RRR) cards included in the deck and any Forces of Nature (FoN) cards collected from Booster Packs.

Game Play:
1. Who Attacks first: Each player rolls the die. The person who rolls the higher number will Attack first. The opponent will Defend. Remember to alternate who Attacks/Defends.
2. Start of game: Both players flip the top card of their Wildlife pile face up.
3. At the start of each battle, each player will have the opportunity to play a RRR or a FoN card (specialty card) 1x before or after the player rolls the die. After the specialty card is used, it goes to the player’s Hibernation Pile.
4. Each player must re-roll and add the number they rolled to their Attack/Defense.
5. Winner of battle: The higher total number wins!
6. The Wildlife card that wins goes to the bottom of the winning player’s pile.
7. The defeated card goes to his/her own Hibernation Pile.
8. Tie: Keeping your cards in play. Switch who Attacks/Defends. Flip another card out and roll again.
Repeat until there is a winner, then follow #6 & #7.
9. Winner of game: The player who sends all of the opponent’s Wildlife cards to Hibernation!

700 Wild 8 yrs. and up 2 players or teams


Set up:

1. Each player will choose a number of Wildlife cards totaling as close to 700 Energy Points
as possible.
2. Create a separate pile for your RRR cards included in the deck and any FoN cards (specialty cards) collected from Booster Packs.

Game play:
1. Each player will place all Wildlife cards in their own Back Row face up.
2. Roll the die to see who Attacks/Defends. Switch who Attacks/Defends after each battle.
3. Each player chooses a card from their Back Row and places it forward into their Attack Row. Compare the attack and defense numbers.
4. A card can’t be used in consecutive Attacks or Defenses unless it is the player’s last card.
5. At the start of each battle, each player will have the opportunity to play a RRR or a FON card (specialty card) 1x before or after the player rolls the die.
6. Re –roll and add that number to your Attack/Defense.
7. Winner of battle: The higher total number wins!
8. The winning Wildlife card returns to their Back Row.
9. The defeated card goes to its player’s own Hibernation Pile.
10. Tie: With the card in play, switch who Attacks/Defends, re-roll and continue to battle until a
Wildlife card is sent to Hibernation.
11. Winner of game: The player who sends all of the opponent’s Wildlife cards to Hibernation!

Jungle Rumble 8 yrs. and up 2 players or teams


Set up:

1. Choose 8 cards, place 4 in each of two rows
2. You will play with cards from your front row first
3. As you lose a card from your front row, replace it with a card from your back row.


Game play:

1. Roll the die to see who Attacks/Defends.
2. Players place their Wildlife card forward to the Attack row.
3. Players may use a specialty card before or after the die is rolled.
4. Re-roll and add that to your Attack/Defend.
5. Winner ofbattle: The higher total number wins!
6. The defeated player’s card goes to the player’s own Hibernation Pile.
7. The winner’s card returns to the front row.
8. A Wildlife card can’t be used in consecutive Attacks/Defenses unless it is the player’s last card.
9. Tie: See rules for 700 Wild
10. Winner of game: The player who sends all of the opponent’s cards to Hibernation!

Critter Contest 3 yrs. and up 2 players or teams


Parents, use as flash cards to identify animals and numbers

5 yrs. and up with parents


1. Make a set of 10 cards, choose 2 cards at a time.
2. Memorize at least 2 facts on each card, 5 minute time limit.
3. Exchange your cards with your opponent.
4. Your opponent holds up one of your cards and asks you to name 2 facts about that animal.
5. If you get 2 facts correct, take your card back and place it in your own Victory pile.
6. If you get one fact wrong, it goes to the bottom of your deck to learn about again!
7. Both players repeat the process.
8. Winner of game: The first player to get all of the Wildlife cards into his/her own Victory pile!

 

Power Down 8 yrs. and up 2 players or teams


Set up:

1. You will need paper, pencil, and die
2. Shuffle the deck and distribute the deck evenly
3. You may use some RRR or FoN (specialty) cards if agreed.

Game Play:
1. Choose four Wildlife cards with the highest energy to go into battle.
2. Write down the animals and their Energy Points.
3. Align the cards in your Back row.
4. Roll to see who Attacks first.
5. Each choose a Wildlife card to go to battle.
6. The attacker, re-rolls and multiplies that number with their Attack number.
7. The number is then subtracted from their opponent’s EnergyPoints on the card in play.
8. The defender now rolls and multiplies that number by their own Defense points.
9. The opponent then subtracts that number from their Energy Points on the card in play.
10. The cards in play return to each player’s back row and choose another card to battle.
11. Each card must be played once in each round before reusing a card.
12. Alternate Attack/Defend.
13. Once your Wildlife card no longer has any Energy it is sent to Hibernation.
14. While in battle, if your Wildlife card is sent to Hibernation you do not get a defensive roll.
15. Winner of game: Player who sends all of the opponent’s Wildlife cards to Hibernation!

 

Multiple Madness 3 or more players


Set up:

1. Shuffle the deck and deal 5 cards per player.
2. You may use some RRR or FoN (specialty) cards if agreed.
3. Players may hold the cards in their hands.

Game play:
1. Roll to see who attacks first.
2. The player with the highest roll attacks the person to their left.
3. The opponent will defend.
4. Choose a card you wish to go to battle.
5. Both will re – roll adding that number to their Attack/Defense.
6. Winner of Battle: The higher total number wins!
7. The winner of that battle continues clockwise battling each player.
8. The defeated player places their card into Hibernation.
9. When a battle has ended & there is a new winner, a new round begins, the winner has the option to change his/her card or to Attack/Defend with the next player.
10. Once the card has been changed you must keep the same card against each player until the round is
completed.
11. If a player wins against all opponents, completing a round, he/she must change the card in play with a new card (unless that is the last card) and may choose whether the Wildlife card will Attack/Defend.
12. Tie: With the same card in play, switch who Attacks/Defends, re-roll adding that number to their
Attack/Defense and continue to battle until a Wildlife card is sent to Hibernation.
13. Winner of game: The player to send all of the opponents’ Wildlife cards to Hibernation
